The hard-working, fun-loving people of Osmond welcome you to our community. Located in Northeast Nebraska, Osmond is situated on U.S. Highway 20. Major cities in the vicinity include: Norfolk--30 miles south; Sioux City--60 miles east; Yankton--45 miles north; and O'Neill--60 miles west.
Osmond, population of around 800, lies in the heart of irrigation country--in fact throughout the 1970's, Osmond was known as the "Water Capital of Nebraska". Along with the irrigation in the area, there is a strength in knowing that we help to produce much of our nation's agricultural products. The community is fortunate to have a large grain terminal served by the Nebraska Northeastern Railway line to transport the corn and grains produced in the region to market.
